Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
In the same skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Add the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
In a large baking dish, layer the cooked rice, beef mixture, and shredded cheese.
Repeat the layers until all of the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
