Grease a 9-inch round baking dish with unsalted butter. Sprinkle the granulated sugar and set it aside.
Start cleaning the cherries by removing their stems and pits.
The first layer above the sprinkled sugar should be the cherries. Place them evenly in the baking dish.
Beat the eggs in a bowl, add the vanilla extract, salt, and sugar. Beat until they form a smooth consistency.
Add in the melted butter, followed by the milk and mix well.
Pour the smooth batter gradually on the cherries in the baking dish. Spread the batter evenly.
Transfer the baking dish to a preheated oven at 350°F degree. Bake till it’s golden brown. It should take about 45 minutes.
After removing it from the oven, leave it to rest for at least 30 minutes.
Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. Serve and enjoy!
