Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 6 tablespoons of cold cubed unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup of cold buttermilk
  • Optional melted butter for the topping of the biscuits

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • On the dry ingredients, add the cold butter cubes, mash them with the dry ingredients using a potato masher so that no large chunks are remaining.
  • Pour in the cold buttermilk and fold the batter with a spatula to mix everything together.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange your biscuits in the baking sheet, wipe the top of each biscuit with buttermilk.
  • Transfer the baking sheet into a preheated oven at 450°F for 15-17 minutes to bake.
  • When they become golden brown, remove from the oven, brush with melted butter, leave them to cool for a few minutes. Enjoy.
